"the very best for an Irish Hooley!"

Welcome

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of St Patrick behold you.

Ruff 'n' Ready - the very best for an Irish Hooley!

"Traditional Irish music with a twist, the band have a reputation for revitalising traditional Irish music and adding their own touch of passion and energy."

About us

The band enjoys playing a mix of Irish, English and American folk songs and has earned a reputation for providing fans with a great night out. From the sing-a-long quality of songs like “All For Me Grog” and “The Black Velvet Band” to the instrumentational delight of tunes such as “The Countess Cathleen/The Women of Sidhe” and “Lord of the Dance” Ruff ‘n’ Ready have one goal in mind - to
entertain.

Between them they play banjo, guitar, bass, piano accordion, mandolin, bodhran, penny whistle and keyboard with additional percussive input from cymbal and tambourine.

Although based in Lincolnshire playing in theatres, festivals, clubs, pubs and village halls, plus numerous private functions, the band has also played at prestigious venues further afield such as the Tower of London and Clontarf Castle in Dublin.

An extra special aspect of many of their gigs is the Irish Wolfpack dancers, the girls provide a visual treat with their beautifully costumed and choreographed mix of Irish, tap and acro styles all danced to the live music of Ruff ‘n’ Ready.
